OK I know this game is older than some of you, but I suddenly really wanted to play it again, so I attempted to reinstall it onto my system. The regular game went on fine, and works, but I wanted more, so I greedily popped in the next version of that fine game I have, a combination of Loopy Landscapes and Corkscrew Follies. After wondering why the heck they thought of the most embarrassing names and slapped it on there to make me feel like a fool while writing this, I found that there was an error message saying something about my driver. I'm assuming that this means my graphics card is incompatible by virtue of being too advance, which is a stretch because its an old geforce 5200 or something like that, not real cutting edge.
I'm running XP with very little to no modification. Dont feel like digging up my computer model and stuff becuase I doubt that has anything to do with the problem.
Help appreciated, this is here because the Tech Support forum said no gaming related issues. Move as needed.
What exactly does the error message say? And its not because your videocard is "too advanced". I own the original Rollercoaster Tycoon + its 2 expansions and played them fine on a X800 XT.
Yeah I didnt think so, its just that some old games are incompatible with newer systems.
Anyways, thanks for your help, but the damn thing is working, inexplicably again. It's really beyond me, I'm terrible with computers. Thanks for your time.
I have the original and loopy landscapes as well. The original always worked fine for me, even on my newish PC i have now. But Loop Landscapes? I could never get it to work right, even on my old PC. It just refused to work.
