K I know the problem stems from my system being too new. this is what happens, I launch the game and go to start new game, it loads and once its done loading this message pops up "ERROR: Direct3d device driver does not accurately report texture memory usage. Contact your 3d accelerator vendor for updated drivers." And I have this running in compatibility for windows 2000.

Are you using the latest drivers?


If there is no image, Mikey broke something...

go to your video card's website and im sure they have an updated version of your graphics card driver so install them and it SHOULD fix the problem

The guys in the tech section might be of more help (it sounds like you have a hardware related problem).

Thanks for the advice but I figured it out for myself. I had to add a line to the config settings and disiable my Hyper-Threading and it works great.
