Well i don't have a soundcard but i have high definition speakers and a set of Gigaware Headphones. Google Image Result for http://rsk.imageg.net/graphics/product_images/pRS1C-3227619w345.jpg Despite what some peoples reviews say, it's actually got very high clarity microphone and has a background noise canceller. You can easily get them at your local Radioshack. Been using them for the past 2 years and well, they support HD audio.

Odd that a mere sound card wouldn't have such problems. That would seem to indicate it's more an incompatibility issue than a latency or DSP/CPU processing power issue. Then again you have a dual core CPU, so even if your sound card takes more CPU power, it may not be noticeable. I think lots with dual and quad CPUs are having this problem though. What OS and SP btw?

Service pack.

I played this game on the PS3 just earlier today and liked the gameplay. What I really want to know though is this:

Is it worth 50$ for the PC? I have a Q6600 processor, 8800GTS 320mb graphics card, and 2 gigs of memory. I read somewhere that there were issues of not having all resolutions available if you have less than 512mb of video ram, and I'd prefer to run at my native 1400x1050.

For controls how are the mouse and keyboard, and can you use a gamepad with it?

Since there's no playable PC demo, I would hold off until they patch the game. IMO it's not worth it paying full price and risk having the bugs. By the time they patch it the price may drop some too. You can use a gamepad, and one comment from someone on the game's forum indicated it played better that way.

Here's what the readme says about res limitations for cards with less than 512MB:

Cards with less than 512 MB cannot access resolutions with widths of greater than 1280 or heights of 720. This means with a card of LESS THAN 512MB VRAM has these available: 640 x 480 800 x 480 800 x 600 1024 x 768 1152 x 720 1152 x 864 1280 x 720 1280 x 800

I'll hold off until my birthday in a month. I can get a new graphics card with more VRAM, and the game.

I don't know what the big problem is with controls, i'm doing fine with them, i think people just aren't learning how to utilize the "Special controls" correctly (movement controls acquired through upgrades).

It looks like a good game, it's just a shame they lumbered us PC players with the shitty console graphics. I wanted an upgrade.
