heyo- i have been given rainbow six 3 for christmas, but i don't know much about it. what i've heard is that it's pretty good, if a bit old, but that it's most fun with squad oriented play using a headset. since i have no headset, nor friends who will play it with me, is this game worth unwrapping, or should i keep it in the plastic & return it for something newer? also, any reccomendations on good first person shooters is welcomed. i currently have MOHAA (with a couple expansions), BF1942 (with a couple expansions) & call of duty. thanks & happy new year!

Moved to General Gaming since it has nothing to do with CoD :)

I would keep all. RS3 is pretty good, and so are all the others

I got Rainbow Six 3 for christmas too. Even if you don't have the headset (or any friends if that's really true), it doesn't matter, it's still a great game. I just wish I could find out how to get the voice recognition to work and then i'll be well away. Hi BTW :)

voice recognition?!?! maybe i should open it! perhaps voice recognition software is needed in addition? in any case, thanks for the feedback, it's appreciated. i may wait awhile- i'm currently blasting my way through CoD, which rocks. the multi-player needs work tho- i think MOHAA still has the best multi player i've done yet. ...does RS3 support online multiplayer play as well?

The headset for the voice recognition isn't required but it does add a cool feature to the game. Your computer controlled team mates give you feedback etc. And as for the online multiplayer, yep, it's online too :) There's loads of options on types of games online.
