I used to enjoy Flight Simulator 2000 and FSX after it, but these games are quite old now, and even the remastered re-release of Flight Simulator X is dated graphically.

I like passenger jets, like the 747 and things of that nature. Not looking for a war fighting game or anything like that.

Plane X I think is the one I played for a while, didn't have as good of a UI as FSX but it had decent graphics. I like the fact that I could buy the Dublin airport DLC, but its too pricey but I appreciate the fact that did it and made it available.

DCS World has a nice engine and good simulation but no civilian airliners.

Arma 2 is actually quite nice for most military planes and helicopters and handles very well with a 360 controller.

Elite Dangerous is like a flight sim in space.

Ask RAL. He knows.

Like I say, I want something that I can fly commercial jets on, which is largely boring to be honest given how most flights are automated, but I like to just fly them around and maybe do some airshow type stunts in them.

I'm not into combat simulators per-say. Well, no, I am, I like War Thunder for example, but it's just not what I mean.

I'll check out PlaneX.

Might I recommend the paper plane?

As for commercial or general aviation, the most recent is FSX.
