I'm half way through supreme commanders 2 and already getting bored, it's way too repetitive. Played black & white 2 which was decent, red alert was amazing at the time, as well as the original C&C. Those are the only strategy games i've tried. What should I try next? Is red alert 3 any good? Please recommend me a good single player strategy game :cya:

World in Conflict. It's one of the highest quality graphics wise strategy game I have ever seen, and it has a fun single player campaign.

Either that or Battle for Middle Earth 2, the first BFME is fun too but the second is better IMO.

Command & Conquer: Generals.

Its the best of the C&C series IMO. Some other good ones are Starcraft (the original, can't say about SC2 since i haven't played it), Warcraft 3, Rome: Total War, Sins of a Solar Empire, Company of Heroes, and Dawn of War II. Those are some of the best i can think of right now.

If you don't mind going turn-based, GalCiv2 is one to try out thanks to it's remarkable AI. It actually knows how to play, and unless you choose the highest few difficulty settings, it'll hold it's own against you without cheating.

On the indie side, you've got AI War, the definitive exercise in sadomasochism. You can sum up the entire game in one sentence - "The computer is a cheating, genocidal bastard." - but it's surprisingly entertaining.

I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.

I recomend a lot of fairly old things. some of the original dawn of wars, starcraft, sins of a solar empire, CnC generals, and CnC generals zero hour. actually I recomend getting anything with command and conquer on them for a lot of them are really good.

Oh and star wars empire at war, I absolutely love the space battles.

Yeah, Empire at War space battles can be pretty epic. I don't care as much for the land battles though.

I suggest the Civilization Series. I find it to be quite fun, and a great way with which to waste your time.
