2/6trash good monsters like trolls and goblins

Don't you think Trolls and Goblins are a tad bit clichéd?

I'd suggest The Elder Scrolls Series if you want decent graphics and open ended gameplay. I don't typically play action/rpgs because of the addictiveness, repetiveness and sheer boringness of them.

The Final Fantasy games are turn based. I dunno what you're looking for but if you don't mind turn based combat then the Final Fantasy series is the best out there.

Did you metion a console? You may like Tales of Symphonia, but thats only available on GC...it may be available on ps2 aswell. For pc, I would say...I dunno. The only rpg related game ive played on pc is world of warcraft, and that ROCKS.

Well if you dont mind waiting about a month or two, I would say check out The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, it has everything you stated in the things you like in games, and like Morrowind you can choose to do the main quest or just forget it entirely and do something else, and it has some of the best graphics around. And it will be out on the PC and Xbox 360, so you have several choices.

But if you want something now... I dont know.

ok so on the forums i read that world of warcraft has a "dreaded fee" is it a one time fee or paying every month? also im disapointed in the gaming industry for releasing so few games that fit my awsome list of requirements which is probably close to the list other gamers would post. you can post your list if you want.

Well, everyone hates it, you can't really get around it though. Guild Wars is free, that's a pretty fun hack & slash RPG. Have you played that?

not really dungeon siege like lots of other games have beasts like goblins but with other names like Krug goblins and trolls are just names that are given to enemies that are a mix betweenmana and beast. the enemy in the game does not HAVE to called trolls and goblins. plus i like stuff a bit cliche.
