Hey guys. Its getting pretty late so im just going to be brief. Is anyone really looking foward to Stalker? I certainly am, almost as much as I am for Half-life 2. The game looks so incredibly cool. Ill post a couple of screenies for those who dont know about the game and also a bit of background. The game is due in early 2005 and will take advantage of AMD's 64Bit technology which is really cool, becuase by the ill have my Super Rig made. Anyway a bit of a background to the game... S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Shadow of Chernobyl is a game based on a true story, however most of what it contains is fictional. Its is based around the nuclear reactor meltdown in Chernobyl, Russia in 1985 which killed thousands of people and still does even today. :( You take the role of a Stalker, (Which I still dont know fully who they are and what they do just yet) an explorer who goes to Chernobyl into the "Dead Zone" wehre the name says it all. I think the game is an RPG-Action-First person shooter game because when you play you can buy things at shops, upgrade your weapons and armour and trade with NPC's (Computer controlled charachters). Ummm, what else... You arrive in Chernobyl and meet some nasties, mutated people and animals mostly and pretty much shoot them. I don't know the story line behind the game as of yet like most people as it is being very safe gaurded! :giggle: The game itself is very advanced and utilizes one of the most advanced AI, Physics and graphics engine in todays new age games. In fact i think it Pwns Halflife 2, which Pwns Farcry, Which Pwns Doom 3 etc  You will need a pretty good rig in 2005 to run this game to its fullest. Don't know as of yet if there are any benchmarks or System Requirements that have been released though. Alrighty, if you guys want to check out a wee bit more about Stalker, visit www.stalker-game.com where you can view screenshots, download videos and read about the enemies and weapons you will find. Pretty interesting site with the eerie background music and flashing lightning in the back gound. I also think we should have a forum about S.T.A.L.K.E.R (In which ill be the moderator for :giggle: ) I'd love to be able to discuss this game with other anticipating fans. So take time to vote on the Poll. Aaaanyway, im sure most of you know about Stalker already, but this is for some of the ones who havnt really heard of it. Ok im off too bed now, and before I forget, heres some screenies to drool over...

I've been following the game development for what has got to be a couple of years now, and I absolutely CAN'T wait until it is released.

I would like to see a forum start for this game, and a FN community, but you have to remember a couple things first.

-There are a lot of games coming up and it is up to the FN administration if they wish to start a new site to relate to the games of tomorrow. You have to have a full team of staff to be able to spend hours a day getting a site like this started, and keeping it going each day, meeting the demands of the fans.

-You have to make sure the game will be active. Without fans you get a ghost site, and there's no point in keeping a ghost site active.

So before the site/forums are discussed, the administrators need to see a large group of members, discussing the game, and also looking forward to it's release.

Then we go from there. sometimes after a game comes out, and then becomes popular, will we create a site and it's forums.

Game looks sweeet though!!

Yeah, your right there Gizzy. A fan base would be very easy to get for that game though I'd say on Gaming Forums because just look at how popular HL2 and Doom3 are!
