Don't know if already someone have opened a post like that, but my question is that: Arkane studios is going to release an SDk for single-player maps and mods? Because the original campaign start to suck, and with that engine is possible also to make a good "Thief" mod :). anyone?

From what ive heard the fanbase will probaly 'force' a SP SDK to get released, And I heard that its going to be released by next patch (unconfirmed, and I heard it mentioned in a chat a few patches ago)

My opinion on it, is that we probably will never get one now. Ubisoft and Arkane have already moved on from this game and probably will never return, and the depleting fanbase won't be enough (in my opinion) to force anything out of this multi-million dollar companies.

So, who want's some Crossplay?

Well the general rule is that once a game is ported to console (from PC of course) then that's that really. I know they can patch it for the 360 (and probably PS3 though I can't really comment on that as I'm completely unsure. (and also unsure whether ubisoft would waste money investing in a port to the PS3)) but the point is that once it's announced that it's going to console, they stop working.

I love this game dearly, but it is dead. Ubisoft probably realise that simply from looking at the severely lacking number of servers alone. Yet alone sales. If people don't keep buying the game, then Ubisoft wont fund the work for patches and/or an SDK. I'll admit it would be NICE if Ubisoft gave us an SDK as a leaving present before they desert this game, but a large part of me doesn't think that will happen.

well Ubisoft have to see also on others game like Postal 2. Postal is not a best seller game, but have a nice community of modders. With a release of the SDK, Dark Messiah will get new life, especially for all the modders on HL2 already know how to map.

Oh I completely see that. My fear through that is simply the announcement of the Multiplayer SDK release was a major major let down. It was not a tool set so to speak, just the information for the regular maps to put in hammer. Not simple at all.

I hate to bring it this way but: UBISOFT SUCKS ASS..... why??? because after a few months, they leave a game for what it is. Ubisoft was one of the best game creaters a few years ago, in my oppinion. The time of Prince of Percia and the Splinter Cell serie. The only thing the company is doing now, is creating as much games as they want, with still the same name. Look at Splinter Cell 5. That's not Splinter Cell how the fans want it.... of course I'm gonna play it, but I want the real Splinter Cell serie, but then not 1 game every 2 years.... Ubisoft have to take the time for every game. This one is create by Arkane Studio's, but I think Ubisoft told Arkane the stop bringing patches and SDK...... They are just not listening to the community, if they would bring out a SDK the game will be much more popular, see all the hl2dm and cs:s maps that were created in a short time...... Ubisoft isn't very smart.

A SDK is going to be released... that was the announcement, but yes Ubisoft is pushing the release dates too much for the games to be developed. Prince of Persia 2 for the playstation 2 had a lot of buggs compared to the PC version.
