Anyone know if any Excelsiors will still be in commision? (considering this this takes place post Nemesis) If not, then Akira class.

I doubt Excelsiors will be ingame, this is set 10-20 years after Nemesis. However we have already seen the ingame Akira so they will be there for sure. :D

According to the faq on the official website regarding ships http://startrek.perpetual.com/ships.html
most people will have access to medium and small ships and even borrow them from other species like the Klingons. For the bigger vessels it says they are not normally assigned to single players.
