Being getting the urge recently to revive my WoW Account however was getting the feeling that maybe i should try a different MMORPG ? Thoughts ?

Honestly, I'd wait. Right now there are two pretty anticipated MMO's up in beta, namely TERA and Guild Wars 2. TERA had it's 3rd closed beta start on the 9th, and GW2 should have it's first closed beta some time soon. TERA will have a monthly subscription fee (between $9 and $15, depending on the subscription period), whereas GW2 will be free to play, like it's predecessor.
I'd suggest waiting a month or two, try to get in betas for either of them and see if they tickle your fancy.
Sounds like a plan, cheers

SW:TOR is pretty alright, but once you reached 50, it's not as fun anymore. That's just my opinion however.
It depends on what type of MMORPG you prefer. After all, WoW is an entire different experience than SW:TOR or GW. Having experience in pretty much all MMOs spare the crappy ones (ahem, EVE & Perfect World), I would suggest not playing WoW. Why? Because it sucks now; PvE is ten times as boring as it was back in the Burning Crusade, and PvP has worsened (although that may have changed over these last couple of months).
But yes, as suggested by one of the peeps above, you should wait until the release of the upcoming ones, and then decide for yourself which you should play. Playing a trial for these games would probably be the best thing to do.

Runescape is not even free anymore, and has as such lost its one only advantage over its more polished adversarys
I didn't make it!
I agree with Chaos. I am going to stop playing WoW when TERA comes out! It looks amazing!!!
So I would say wait!
