Ok ive gotten pretty board with my ps3 waiting for games to come out and most of them have gone multi platformed, a shop I know will give me a xbox 360 elite for a ps3 with a couple of ps2 games, I really would kill to have dead rising, gears of war, lost planet, crashdown and quite a few more but I hear "home" is going to be really good and it looks sic not to mention some time in the future 360 is going to have to be upgraded to bluray or somthing simular,

please help me decide and give me good answers, I dont want to hear "ps3 sux xbox owns" as answers, thankyou.

I'd Do it if i were you. X-box 360 has some killer games, besides, most of the games that come out for the PS3 Will probably come out for the x box too anyway.

You could always get a 20GB PS3 if you don't use those spare options (like WiFi and the card slots). I love my 60GB PS3, though. Resistance: Fall of man isn't that great (And I often get confused with the controls) and I'm not sure how great the other games are, but I like the system features (like a web browser, which a 360 doesn't have). PS3 owns 360 on the net in my opinion.

X-Box 360 has an HD-DVD add-on you can buy (but you probably already know that), so they may not go to Blu-ray for competitive reasons. In reality, there isn't much difference between HD-DVD and Blu-ray.

Like I said, if you don't use the fancy features of the 60 GB PS3 and want a 360, just downgrade your PS3 if you can (that gives you $100), scrounge up some money, and get a 360 Elite.

I dunno, i have a 360 and its complete pump. It sounds like a vacuum cleaner, has packed up on me already in 3 months and i dont think the games are great at all, IMHO the ps3 is far better and elite means what? Its painted black? mega.

It's black and has a larger hard drive (120 GB).

Here's a list of the specs from another forum.

If im gonna get a 360 its gonna be the elite, its not that much more money and the extra features are nice it doesnt seem like such a bad deal to me, the games on the 360 really make me want one but ps3 isnt offering me anything i really want alone, cept maybe mgs and killzone

Well, the PS3 has full backward compatibility, while the 360 only has limited backward compatibility. They are working on expanding that, though.

Sorry, but I really like my PS3 over my 360, though I've been playing the 360 more. Both have their pros and cons.

indeed I know ps3 is the powerhouse out of the 2, but dead rising alone looks SO much fun and I dont think ps3 is ever going to see that, just going into the mall and picking up anything i want, lmao the guy in the store is giving me 480$ for my ps3 and thats CAD, i believe its about 435USD, so id need an extra 60/70$ for the elite but I have some old ps2 games lieing around he will take for it, + resistance to go towards a game.

Not if you live in Europe where compatability with the entire past magazine is only 15%...not exactly a high number.

Well, if you want games, yse there do see to be a small handful of PS3 exclusives that look decent, but 360's do have the game power at the mo anyhow. The way I've seen it, is if you had a Wii + 360 you'd have access to pretty much any game in the market.

I would go with the idea above of downgrading your PS3 and saving up for a 360. That sounds like a sound idea.
