I just downloaded the video for this via steam and it looks like a pretty good game. But would it be worth buying? http://www.sinepisodes.com/index.php?overview

The original was awesome, if you could overlook the equally awesome number of bugs (which for most people, meant waiting for five years and trying again on a computer so powerful that it could simply smash through the bugs). Had it not suffered from so many bugs, and had Half-Life's release not obscured it, it may well have become an extremely popular game. I still play SiN every Christmas while I'm waiting to get drunk, almost like a ritual (I'm not sure why, but there you go). I'll definitely be trying these episodes out, or at least one of them. With no bugs afflicting it this time, it has the potential to be pretty good. We'll wait and see though.

I just wish they hadn't decided to go with Steam. I do find it ironic that they're now so close with Valve, though, a company that used to be their worst enemy...

Oh, and I can't wait to get a hold of one of those awesome pistols again. For some reason, no other game has a more satisfying way to put a hole through someone's forehead...

Cheers for the feedback guys. I bought the game along with HL2: EP1. Now I have to wait for the games to download (HL DM: S, EP1, SiN1, SiN MP, and SiN: EP1). Looks like its going to be a long wait. :(

sorry for the double post but, i'm pissed! They quietly moved the release date again! Now its 2 days later. WTF I can see why maybe you would do that for the retail version but for the steam purchased copy why? Its not like they're going to change anything in 48 hours.

ok, i've finished the game. It took about 6 hours on the hardest diffivulty setting. Pros: - awsome weapons. The pistol is just as useful in the end as it is in the end. (its fun to make the grunts heads explode) - lots of interactivity, just about everything does something. - variable enemies, some change into different enemies if you die and reload. Cons: - little short but for 20 bucks a great deal, especialy with more on the way - few weapons, but as i said more is on the way other comments: - when they say hard they mean hard, there is just no end to the enemies, although they are still relatively hard to kill

Its definatly worth the 20 bucks, and i didn't do that much exploring so 6 hours is the bare minimum.
