Anonymous Gamer writes "GameSpot has a new hands-on preview of Sony's redesigned PlayStation 2 system. It's one-fourth the size of the old PS2 and only weighs two pounds. It looks like Sony's new system will be the iPod of game consoles this holiday season."http://games.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=04/10/19/1326239

Took them this long to redesign the weak peice of junk. Wow, who really cares apart from fanboys?

Of course it looks a little nice, but it's to late now.

It's just like xbox making different colors, just like game cube, but this time, it's going to something worth a crap unlike a "GREEN XBOX OMG"

Meh, it's ok I guess. Better looking than the Xbox or Gamecube. I have the 'old' PS2 and as long as it can run Resident Evil and San Andreas I'm happy, so I dont see much point in buying this new, more compact version.

Besides, Sony seem to be milking the public for all it's worth. I mean they make the PSone, PS2, multi-colored PS2's, PS2 Silver limited edition...etc..the list goes on. What's next? limited edition pink n' flowers PS2? hmm...

It looks cool, but I dont think it's worth buying. Nothing special appart from it being lighter and more compact, but my PS2 sits along side my PC and it's not taking up all the space..think I'll stick to the 'old' one.
