i have played the Demo of Rome total war, and i fell in love with the game, but sadly i dont have it yet. but i have some questions:
-What/How many Nations/Empires can you play with? -Do you have to build citices and such? -Trading, do oyu trad between your and other player/AI cities? -How do you genereate armies? and what/how are geenrals used? -do certain nations/empires get certain terrain bonuses or special units or soemthing?
thats all if i have more question ill ask later ;)

Hi, -you start playing with the Roman (one of three families, Brutii, Julii or Scipii), after you finished this campaign you can play again with about 8 other nations, among them Gaul, Britons, Germans, Carthage, Greece, Egypt... :) -no, you can conquer them, but creating or destroying cities is not possible. However, you can and should build new buildings in your cities -you trade with other nations and between your own cities -you recruit your soldiers from your cities, you need special buildings for different unit types (stables for cavalry etc.), when your city grows you can improve these buildings to get better units, you can also hire mercenaries on the field generals are usually members of your family, they have traits and retinue which influence their efficiency in governing or commanding. So you can put your general into a city to get more money or use them as commanders, in that case they improve the morale of your troops, what is more each general has a small unit of heavy cavalry which you can use in battle -two times yes, Numidians get a bonus for fighting in deserts, Germans in woods etc. . Every nation has special units, like armored war elephants for Carthage, chariots for Egypt or Praetorian cavalry for the Romans. Just buy the game, it's great :)
Actually for the playable nations, you just go to the readme file of the nations and move all thje nations into the unlockable or playable column.
Easy as that.

Not as fun though. Dont copy these though, crashes: Numidians Senate Sythia Rebels Armenians Spanish
You won't regret buying this game, trust me it's a masterpiece. If you want to find out about the mechanics of the game, have a look at this review, I think it covers most of them.

Just don't copy the senate. The rest works fine :).
It's a beautiful, and good, game. The AI (especially on the strat map) is a bit week though :(.
I would say especially on the battle map as well. It does some ridiculously stupid things from time to time. For example, if I am attacking the AI with purely cavalry and he has 3 pikeman units, instead of staying put in a triangle formation which would rape me if I got close, he marches them around in their phalanxes as if to say: "Please, flank me."
