I just now bought a Black Hole Key on my first playtrough in the game. I went to the nearest black hole, and flew through it. I ended up near a Grox planet, this was the first time I encountered them, and did a mission for them. For some reason, they had some of their ships follow me. All of a sudden, their ships start attacking me, kill my squad of two, as I quickly run away through the black hole. Turns out I accidentally shot one of their ships. The next thing I know, they're attacking my home planet, I tried defending but they completely obliterated me, I managed to save two cities out of the nine or ten on the planet. I lost track of how many times I died. I'm scared, they don't want to talk to me. I have no chance of putting up a good fight. And they're pissed off. I need to know If there is some way to redeem myself, or If im better off just starting fresh with them. I have the game minimized right now, as I refuse to save my game in this state if there is no turning back.

Hmm, it's not so bad. Turns out the home planet was useless anyway. They attack me from time to time, but I have badass guns now so it's ok. It's just kind of a pain to have to keep defending, when I could be selling spices.

It's a lot of fun. I keep hearing people complain about pretty much every aspect of the game, but I'm enjoying it. If you plan to buy it, just don't expect "sim everything" and you most likely won't be disapointed.

Same with my first encounter. Except i was actually capable of resisting them. I pushed them back from the outer arms to the core, and held them in place for a few years(ingame). I finally decided to return to my planet, and i haven't heard from them since.

Yea, from what I've seen most of the disappointment seems to come from people who've really overhyped it.
