Due to my allergy towards reading red colored text, I wrongly placed it in the Death Star forum... Sorry! So I try it here instead! I found a Star wars mod for Homeworld 2 called Warlords: http://warlords.swrebellion.com/ It is only version 0.40 as of now, so there are still some bug issues. But still the work put into the mod is impressive... most impressive! Finally a chance to correct the mistakes of Piett, Ozzel and alike! Check out the gallery section for how it looks ingame.

I was about to move yours here before I got a private message. Anyway yeah that mod looks rather good, I'm a rather big homeworld fan, although I don't know if I have the energy to download it and reinstall homeworld 2.

You bet it's good, it's a strategy game that plays in a totally 3d map that you can move your ships around in, you have your larger capital ships, your mother ship and smaller attack ships, then different techs for each faction you play under, you collect resources to build new ships, your mother ship can build most type of small ships, while you need to call in a dock yard to build the larger scale ships such as battle ships.

It is 3D space RTS. When Homeworld came out in 99' it was praised by most critics. Nah the combat dynamics were completely different for the second homeworld, you didn’t need support groups for your fighter squadrons and hyperspace strikes were a more realistic capability for starters.
