I just played the game and thought I'd drop in and share my opinion... The game's pretty fun, love the absence of the hud and the shield edges on-screen, which adds realism to the game. I also like how you get to work as a team, and I love co-op games, both on and off line. However, I'd say that those laser-ricochet-like-sounds gets pretty annoying... And the idea of being able to be revived by teammates is quite good and original (how many revival scenes do you see in a non-rpg game?), but it makes the game too easy to acomplish. This is why I am playing with a higher difficulty setting. Splashes on "screen" are also only good for first impression as it bugs me when I can't see enemies just because I came to close when killing an enemy, or being shot at.. Other than that the game's fine, and it's a relief that I will have a game to play before SWAT 4 arrives (because then comes F.E.A.R., Cold Fear, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.).:bows: And what do you think of the game?
Killing is my business...

I quite liked it, the only majour beef i had with it was the piss weak lazer you have to use. It takes loads of shots just to kill a small enemy :/
isn't it fun to run around the enemy like an idiot and keep shooting the whole cartridge to kill just one enemy? it makes the game harder, i'm up for that. but that does annoy at times, especially when fighting those large droid things...

That's where the game's teamwork comes into play. So far I've only played the demo, but I intend to get the game once I'm back in Germany. I like Star Wars games, and I rather did like the feel of this one.

My brother has it. Controls are similiar to halo(a good thing) Its seems fun from what I have seen and the your AI squad is usefull, reviving you and taking out as many enemies as you do:D

This is what I think of Republic Commando. Pretty good, 'cept for the end.
Insanity at it's finest

I don't like it, after thinking quite alot about it I came to this conclusion.(note that I play rainbow-six RVS that is classed tactical shooter too .)
about the game: It's good for consoles, but it isn't the case for PC. The AI isn't very good, Your squad is babying you around and isn't too smart either. When you give orders to your team, they are very basic, there isn't alot of choice to do, like operate on that computer, open that door, go behind "the few places that you are allowed to assign a place to your teammates".
The MP isn't good... no comments.
but the game is rated T though, which tells that it is more commercial and why it's better suited on the Xbox. It's good for the masses... That's what LucasArt is about.

There are MP games, like Unreal, Quake and so on. And there are games which belong to SP, and even if they have MP, it sucks. Doom 3. Half-Life. Nearly all Star Wars series. As for the AI, yes, it's far from perfect. But splitting up, in-game cinematics and scenes, various objectives which require a 'combo' of the basic commands compensate the low AI. Finally, the graphics on the PC are rather good in today's gaming world. All in all, the game isn't a bestseller or a to-be-classic like HL, Doom (and we can also mention Cold Fear, Fear, Swat 4, Stalker, Guild Wars, etc. knowing those games will be quite popular amongst gamers), but it's sure fun to play. Sure beats other current games... P.S. No offense or flaming, I agree and respect your opinion, I just discussed, and forums are mainly for that, to discuss.

i have been playing this quite recently and i aggre with F.E.A.R M.E its a good game to play i found it too easy to play, the graphics are good, the only thing i found that frustrated me was the weakness of the Dc-17 rifle, they should of have made it more powerfull i wasted to much ammo trying to kill enimies that by the time i was near the end of a level, i would of been better using my fists instead.
