The game didn't even last a full year.
I hate that I preordered this game before release date. (I didn't get the download option from D2D on the release date, even though I had preordered it!)
I bought it in the hopes that we may actually get a good stargate game. It was a waste of money, but I was determined to play it and make good use of my purchase.
And now I read that it will be shut down completely next year, only makes me realise that IT WAS a waste of money!
I’ve never felt so cheated, especially by a franchise that I have loved since 1994!
Alliance is the only game that had any true potential, only for it to be canned when it was practically finished! Worlds did not appeal to me.
Infact, I am uninstalling Resistance right now. I can’t believe I wasted money on this!
I still love the shows (SG-1, SGA, SGU), but I hope that the franchise NEVER gets a game if this will always be the result!
F*ck you CME and f*ck you Dark Comet!
I'm done with waiting for stargate games to be made. From now on, i'll stick to mods and watching SG-1, Atlantis and Universe.

honestly enough I never heard of it before, but 10 months of playing time is decent, the APB guys didn't even get three months before their 60 dollar game was null and void without even a decent heads up.
Trust me, I'm a Doctor

Perhaps you all heard about the MMO "Stargate Worlds". "Stargate Resistance" was an online multiplayer shooter (similar to Team Fortress 2) that was developed at the same time as a way to bring in new fans and to test their development skills.
Then "Stargate Worlds" got canned because the CEO in charge of the company that was making it was an embezzling jacka$$. Plus, Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment ran out of money.
"Stargate Resistance" went on to be "supported (lol)" by another new company when Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment (the company behind Stargate Worlds) were taken to court for various lawsuits.
That other new company was called "Dark Comet Games". The game (Stargate Resistance) went from bad to worse with them. With new patches, a lot of new glitches turned up which were never fixed.
The rest you can read about in the link in the first post.
