I bought mine too, pre ordered it about 3-4 months before the release. It really isn't worth the money as it doesn't match the hype at all... in fact I'd say it's the worst hyped up game in the past few years by a long shot.

I enjoyed the beginning of Spore a lot including the first time you get onto land and the tribal stages but pretty much everything after that is a disaster and when you become allies with everyone near your home world and kill all your enemies it becomes boring especially when you get the last device in the game which makes everything very very very easy.

I'm not surprised that a ton of people are downloading the game, it is not worth the price tag, I also agree with what those Pirate Bay users said.

I don't care if the game sucks. Pirating is still stealing. Deathkitten is just saying that so he can sound like a deep, intelligent activist, not a thief. I don't care if you are against "The Man" that doesn justify theft.

Stop being so black and white. It's like saying big brother is alright since it only harms the criminals. If companies want people to buy their products, they should do what, for instance, those who made Sins of a Solar Empire did, and just not be so protective, 'cause the people who wanna pirate it will pirate it.

Steam is also an excellent medium that's easy to use, which is why I only buy my games from steam. Maybe I shouldn't say where I get the rest of them.

I don't see what makes Spore different. Call of Duty 4 requires you to be online by the time you install it. Which alot of people cant be.

Maybe in Nigeria. But if that's the case they won't bother about CoD4.

"Stardock requires users to use unique serial numbers which it monitors, in conjunction with IP addresses."

This may be the direction PC games are headed, though it would probably only work for online play.

People will always get past the protection and theres no way to stop it. Go ahead and steal the game but hey if the game companies stop making games due to no cash, don't come whinning. If you like EA games and you want more, go buy them.

I'm still hoping for a law allowing people to legally hack into people who pirate's credit account and take whatever amount they want to. It's not any worse than what they do. Most "amateur" pirates probably have stolen from anywhere of 1 million USD to 1.5 million USD in their lifetime.
