I didn't make it!
My wife and I have only been gaming for a couple years, egged on by our four kids, ages 17-31. All of them, plus a couple boyfriend/girlfriend types will be at our house during the Christmas-New Year's zone. Everybody has wireless enabled laptops, and we thought it would be fun to set up a gaming LAN for the holidays.
Consider me an old dude who learned his 2 games and is happy with them, so I'm not real familiar with the stuff on the shelves and coming out. We're not looking for a shooter or a strictly strategy game, and our tastes, as a clan, have tended toward Elder Scrolls and World of Warcraft, so we definately like the atmosphere of the D&D or Lord of the Rings type story.
Any suggestions on games? On the practical side, it would help if the game were not highly current, so that I could pick up a stack of used discs. Or games that can be burned onto multiple discs without needing accounts or unique registrations. Thanks in advance, I look forward to searching demos and screenshots of your suggestions.
