Blizzard have held their annual BlizzCon event from the Anaheim Convention Centre, and we've got a condensed roundup of all the news and reaction from the event, including news for Overwatch, a new Warcraft game, and new Diablo for mobile.

Diablo Immortal

Diablo Immortal is a brand new, from the ground up game for mobile and is being co-developed by Netesase, a Chinese developer who specialise in mobile gaming, with a view to recreating the Diablo series.

The game will be a fully fledged MMO, and feature six classes, including Barbarians, Monks, Wizards, Necromancer, Cruisader and Deamon Hunter, and that new classes may be added in the future.

Fans have not reacted too well to the news, however, with blizzard facing some severe backlash, with fans on the floor calling it a "slap in the face", given that the hype that Blizzard had been building up for months now was expected tob e a full Diablo game, such as Diablo 4 or a remaster of an older title.

There's a new hero coming to Overwatch, and that hero is white-haired cowgirl Ashe, who comes complete with a repeater rifle, shotgun and dynamite, in true Red Dead style. Her ultimate attack also features a robot called Bob who is essentially a second hero who can attack enemies and contribute to objectives.

Warcraft 3 Remaster

The ever popular Warcraft 3 is also getting a remaster, with Warcraft 3: Reforged. We've already covered this here, so give that article a read for more, but basically it's an HD overhaul with revamped models, graphics, and cinematics, and will also include the world editor, which is great news for us modding types.

World of Warcraft

A new trailer for World of Warcraft has also been released, hinting at a team-up between the Horde and the Alliance, while World of Warcraft Classic will allow players to take the MMO way back to 2003, before all the expansions and changes that have come over the years, which explains Blizzard's crackdowns on mods and other fan releases of the older version of the game. It'll be released in summer next year, and will be available to all with a WoW subscription.

There's a new expansion pack coming to Hearthstone, named Rastakhan's Rumble, which will bring new mechanics, cards and an all-new single player campaign to the game.

And that's all the major news from BlizzCon. What do you think of the announcements made? Let us know below!

So they announced a mobile version of Diablo to a room full of PC gamers? I get why they'd want to cash in on the mobile games, but they do not seem to have the brightest community manager or marketing guys in their ranks these days.

The youtube trailer for the mobile game is turning into a big mess: Blizzard is deleting comments and there are allegations that they manipulate the (dis)-like count (which is at a staggering 13k to 383k against right now).

I wonder how Blizzard did not looked at how Valve and C&C fans reacted to mobile game announcements, the former disappointing people who thought they'll be seeing a new Valve game on PC, and the latter because it spits on the grave of a once great franchise. So out of touch they are.
