DOOM, it started it all for me. I played it once at a game shop, and I was hooked on PC games. The addiction continues today :)

AzHI would love to be able to play that still. I have the original on CD but it won't run on XP. I loved that game more than I loved my Mother.
I installed an old windows-version on one partition for a while to play it again. Now one of the floppy disks is damaged and all I get is the intro before it crashes.
I just reinstalled X-wing Alliance the other day, and if you have that there's supposedly a TIE Fighter partial Total Conversion (what a contradiction, "partial total"), but it's supposed to convert the first half of the game, or something like that. You need your TIE Fighter disc to use it, though, which is why I haven't tried it yet. Need to find that...

That sounds interesting.

Dark Forces

That was also a great game. I wonder just how many Stormtroopers one kills in this game. Considering that I played it several times I must have annihilated several divisions :)

They should do another one of those. Much better thoguh, then I will enjoy it. 1. Perfect Dark 2. Goldeneye 3. Command & Conquer 4. Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 5. Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3 6. Halo (modern but an utter classic nonetheless)

Some company recently bought the rights for Silent Service, so it seems that a third part is coming.

Silent Service II was the only submarine simulation I ever enjoyed, so I really look forward to a third part.

I absouletely love that game. I used to play for such a long time. Then my mate would come round and we would just swap places every 5 mins to manage all the planes, trains and buses. Ahhh good times
