Fyurii;4767382(Yes, I'm afraid it is canon.)

Nothing in SWG can be considered canon since the whole game violates g-canon.

Well, not quite the whole game, but I wish it did.

Infact, I wish all the games didn't have to adhere to, or (as they seem to more and more) have to contribute to canon. Meh, I just wish there were more games like Star Wars: Supremacy (Rebellion) - Observe canon as a starting point for the game, and then let the rest happen as we want it to for ourselves, without any impact upon canon in the slightest.

Fyurii;4767382Well, everybody's favourite wise-cracking Assassin droid is in one of the online-posters, and is an avatar on the official forums too. That, and his lifespan goes beyond TOR, and into Galaxies. (Yes, I'm afraid it is canon.)

As for Revan and The Exile's success...... nah. The Republic wasn't strong enough at all. The Sith sacked Coruscant, and the Jedi Temple. For them to have gotten that far, then the Republic wasn't strong enough.
HK-47 is likely one of the longest living characters in the Star Wars universe. And it's true that his appearance in Galaxies is considered canon, but he survives that too.
mmorpg = EPIC FAIL. There is very little chance i will be getting this game. No one has said anything about it'll be grinding.

Oh how I pray and wish they would go the Diablo 2 way.... Pay once, Play forever, Pay for expansion.

Then that's not an MMO, that's just a singleplayer game with added multiplayer.

They wouldn't die of a sudden heart attack if they changed the term MMO at the last minute and went the Diablo 2 way.

PRAY EVERYONE, PRAY HARD!!

Remember, the only added content to DiabloII was the expansion. That's it. For an MMO, content can be regularly added and updated. With the Hero Engine which TOR is using, the additions and updates look to be setting a new standard - Live updates as you play the game.

I'm curious though, how many commercial MMOs do you play?

Few, usually just the trial periods of pay-able ones like WOW. or free ones, but I've abstained from MMOs for quite a while now.

I really don't mind them releasing lots of and lots of expansions, I just don't like the monthly payment thing; even if you say they pay more customer service attention and update regularly....

Yeah if there are monthly payments required then they have just lost one customer.
