Incoming wall of text!
The other day, I bought Pokemon Heartgold; it was the second Pokemon game I had bought after Red (the second being Gold, I got it when it first came out). After I started playing it, all my old Pokemon and childhood memories rushed back from when I used to play the Pokemon games as a kid. In the middle of remembering it all, one memory stood out the most - the time when I beat the Elite Four.
I was nine at this time, and it was during a night when one of my cousins came over, she was pretty new to Pokemon so she found it intriguing/cool/fun to watch when I was playing. While she was watching me play, I was fighting the Elite Four - for the first time. I bought all my necessary potions, revives, and then I set out to fight the Elite Four with my Pokemon, my starter being Blastoise. One by one, each Elite Four was defeated, and it was up until Lance (the dude with all the dragon Pokemon) when my items I bought prior were running out. After beating him, I thought I had won; but the game pulled a quick one and made me face my rival...Gary aka Blue. With my Pokemon tired from battle, I still took him. Each move, each losses of Pokemon from both sides, made me sweat more and more. Finally, both of our last Pokemon were out, and each at low health. My rival's Pokemon was Venasour which was a counter to my own Blastoise. Shit was so intense, I remember my arms shaking as I was holding the Gameboy, not to mention my cousin doing some narrating for the battle. I made a gamble, I ordered my Blastoise to do his most powerful move - Hydro Pump - even though it is ineffective vs Venasour hoping for something that would kill him in one move, because if it didn't my Blastoise would be dead. And then, I got a critical hit, I finished the Venasour with a critical fucking hit when my Blastoise did the Hydro Pump. In one fell swoop, I had beat my rival's Pokemon, and I was finally the Pokemon Master! I was so god damn happy that I was jumping up and down yelling "YEAHHHHHHHHH!", and even though she wasn't even involved, my cousin joined me jumping up and down screaming as well. After quickly going through the credits, I saved my game. My mom came to the room to see the commotion, and then she took away the game, shut it down, and put it away while taking me to the kitchen. My cousin was left alone in the room.
After when my cousin left, I went back to my room to play my game again. I started Pokemon up, went through the intro screen whilst tapping A to get through the whole shit quicker. It was at that moment when my jaw dropped and tears started swelling. My gamefile was written over somehow, and then I remember my cousin was left alone in the room when I went away. That bitch played the game and rewrote over my game file, the gamefile which I had been working on for so god damn long. I screamed at the top of my longs, crying; I was completely at loss at what had happened to my gamefile, my Pokemon, and my title as a Pokemon Master. Never in my life, had I really wanted to beat the living crap out of someone.
Eventually, my mom came in, tried to calm me down, but that didn't do shit and I just kept crying. Finally, I just simply cried my self to sleep. One of the saddest day of my life. Now that I look back on it, it's kinda hilarious but I was a kid at the time.
Anyway, what you did when you beat the Elite Four for the first time. Actually, it doesn't have to be Pokemon/Elite Four related, just any childhood memory of you beating a game.

Man... Long time ago. I was playing Pokemon Sapphire I think. IIRC I beat most of the Pokemon with Double Kick from my Blazakin. Most OP move ever. =p

Actually I got that fuzzy feeling in several games at several points in time. Though the most prominent ones were when I pulled the master sword from its resting place in a link to the past and in Ocarina of Time and when I beat the Elite four in Silver version of Pokemon.
I pretend I'm cooler than AzH

lol, I'm surprised people here actually play Pokemon o.0
I stopped around Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald. I needed a friend to beat the Elite Four for me, because apparently I was just being a noob about it. Then there was the battle island stuff and I just gave up.

My first time was in Yellow. I don't remember how many times it took for me to actually be able to defeat them all... I was horridly underleveled, yet kept on fighting until the bitter defeat, gaining exp for the battles I did win along the way.
I do remember the last move I used when I finally did defeat them. Quick Attack. At level 25. I think it was a Pidgey... Only reason I even had it in the party was to get it some experience... I was raising it without evolving it so that it could learn all it's moves faster. Once it learned all the moves I wanted it to have, then I was gonna let it evolve. But in the fight, that last one knocked out all but my Pidgey. I truly thought I was screwed, but I had apparently done enough damage for a level 25 Quick Attack to finish the job. I was freakin amazed.
Then I played Silver, then I lost interest in the series. I did get FireRed, just to see how well they would remake it, though. I briefly tried one of the DS ones to see if things had improved, but was disappointed to find that it hadn't really.
shaken - not stirred

When I played the original Gold (how's the remake by the way?), it took me 5 times to beat the final four. The champion always kicked my ass... I had to get my Politoad (I think that's what it was) up to level 100 before I finally won.
