what would you think that future game's would look like? what would the graphic's be on future console's? will there be new way's to play game's? like the wii for example? but instead put your self in it? and will game's be a luxury and most people will not be able to afford game's? (i felt insulted when i said this.) will game's be so real? i want everyone's opinion!!!
I didn't make it!
More than likely, we'll end up with Virtual Reality games that have that 'Real Life' quality to them. Graphics.. probably would be awesome. For consoles.. I'd say we'll have uber PC's that can sustain mental environments, changeable at will. In the real world, we'd all be wearing miniature helmets or somesuch that we would talk through. Sort of like Bluetooth, I suppose. XBOX's & similar things would probably become antiques. Pricing.. that would suck royally, but it's a possibility for something like that to happen. On reality.. who knows? It could end up that our real world of today is simply like the Matrix in the future. As Obi Wan Kenobi said, it simply depends on one's point of view. Good thread idea!
quite simple, holodecks like star trek. Just say what you want and hupsa, you are in a real life environment.
It's going to get to the point where the average PC user cannot afford to upgrade their machines to play these new games with all the "Eye Candy" and shitty gameplay.
They will all come to their senses and start playing older games that are very popular even now......................
Quake 3 Arena Enemy Territory Halfife Halflife2 Halo1 Halo2 Battlefield 1942
The gaming systems will continuously be at war and upgrade to amazing standards... Probably, like most said, virtual reality and real life simulators. Or the world will engage themselves into some new invention that attracts the minds of people all over the world.
I say the future of gaming really can't evolve much more.
But, the graphics would be so real, people would walk in and think your watching TV until they notice the controller. Or maybe controllers will be none existent, and all gaming would happen through the mind? Nahhh.....
The story telling would always be top notch. Every game will make you want more. And more devs will actually spend time on their games rather than pump out alot of crap (I'm looking at you EA!)
About pricing, I bout it would break the all time high of $600. Besides PC's of course. But once you think about it, looking back you see most PS1's went for $200. Most SNES went for $200. The original Xbox went for $200. At most I think they'll be around $400 to $500.
Actually, when the SNES came out it was around 500, so I'd rethink your statement . .
Oh, now I remember, well, I can tell you that it shouldn't get much higher than that, unless game devs and others don't want to make money, they stick to lower pricing.
I think it would be like a normal PC. But with an enormous monitor, like 50000x50000 resolution..heheh
and the graphics...WOW, I mean look at the graphics we had in 2000, and just 7 years, and we have t3h awesome like Crysis.
Major step in only 7 years..
just inmagine gears of war 2... maybe a new xbox console called xbox unlimited maybe :P oh and my dad said that a kid played a game so realistic something made him jump and give him a heart attack
