Reven As for engine writing, that's something I'm getting into. I like physics and I like programming.

Good luck with that Reven! Maybe you'll be starting the next physics game physics engine in the near future!

Nick1989Then what does Crysis use because it has liquid physics, and pretty much evrything in the entire game is effected by physics...

Crysis puts a heavy load on your CPU/GPU, thats what it does. Also the liquid is pre-scripted in a sort of mannor (though it still looks physicsish).

You're obsessed with physics, you know that?!

Personally I wish that developers would stop focusing so much on gimmicks, and start to think about gameplay and storylines more, the way they used to. I can't remember the last time I played a game that didn't feel like a glorified tech-demo.

I just looked, Crysis uses its own engine. Because neither Ageia or Havok have it listed as a supported game

I'm not upsessed Mr.Matt. I just think now most games should use them, because technology is getting better.

Physics are definatly the new-age technology as well as stuff like HDR-Rendering and all stuff that goes UNSCRIPTED.

And as Nick said and I said a couple of times, Crysis wont take advantage of PPU hardware.

Agreed... i often find myself playing Rampart or Super Punch Out rather than Halo 2 or something of the sort... But you have to agree... physics are quite pretty.
