Star Wars: The Old Republic | Trailers

 I wonder just how much Bioware spent on that trailer.

"Holy shit that looks good!" is what you think just before you remember its going to be a MMORPG that requires monthly payments. I little bit of me died just then....

1) I wish bioware did something like Oblivion or Fallout to the Old republic. Not go MMORPG like WoW did. I wouldn't mind buying expansions after expansions. (Not to mention the inclusion of MODS MODS MODS, PLAYER ADDED STORIES TO THE F@$&^NG HUGE UNIVERSE of Star wars) 2) They should really invest in making movies too.... the scale of awesomeness in that trailer. Be right back, I think I shat in my pants out of excitment... The Star Wars geek in me, has voiced his opinions.

Well, diddums for you and don't play it if you're against playing a perfectly acceptable fee to keep a game receiving the necessary support, maintenance and continual development it will need.

Seen the trailer over a dozen times already, and I am not tired of it yet!

Like I said on a couple other forums, the only word to describe it is....

EPIC!

Sorry if paying a monthly fee doesnt appeal to me. Also why on earth would i want to pay REAL money so i can then run out of money, be forced to stop playing, support OTHER people and increase the chance of Bioware making an new MMO game? On top of that i will have to pay the price of a normal game first so i get the HONER of paying them monthly installments! Im not against Bioware (they make GREAT stuff) just having to pay for something that doesnt give me any real life benifets several times.

I think the main issue i have about monthly payments is that say I spend £30 on the game (thats about US$60) then i have to pay an additional £6 ($12) per month to play said game, per year i'll be forking out 3 new games to play 1.

For the guys who can afford it, great, but for the guys who buy games rarely its an issue.

You must have horrible issues with your local shops then. What do you do when you go to pick up milk? Ask them if you can trade a liver for it? You drink it once, and then get no more enjoyment from it. With a game you at least continue to get enjoyment for a monthly fee.

Games and milk are different things. Like i have said, i have No problem paying a one time fee. Paying monthly for a game that overall is not going to help me in real life at all (even make me less healthy?) and having to pay full retail for the game to start off with realy doesnt work for me. Sorry if my arguments are decreacing at a steady rate but its late and im tired.
