Upgrade Specs to Win? Frame rates. I feel like I need to upgrade my ECS P4s5A+ cause its 4x AGP and my P4 is only cranking 1.7 ghz at 400mhz FSB, Mem is 512k pc 3200 at 400Mhz Got an ATI 9500 vid card w/64 mb of mem.
12 frames per second on AA is typical and headshots are followed by my certain death in a spray of lead from the opponent. My honor is a hard won 23 and I finished E & E at 2 FPS, or frames/second. I have T-1 cable at 2.8 Mb/second down and 500 k up so that ain't the problem. All in all it's embarrassing so you got to Pay to Play.
I figure going to an 8x mobo and a 2.8 ghz processor (Prescott) will solve the problems...or is the Direct X 9.1 ATI 9500 the source of my trouble? I Like Intel 875 or Abit equal and clock to 3.2. ATI 9600 is a good deal now. Any suggestions and no, I don't want a $1000 Processor etc.etc. Price is important espccially when you have to upgrade every 2 years.
Any comments would be apreciated because I play the German wanabes early AM and I have some scores to settle.
er.... bro... i am on a clunkin 1.6 P III, 768 MB DDR RAM, (the kicker) GeForce 2 ! 440 MX 64 MB... and cable modem... just gota turn the specs of the game down... keep it at 800*600 i get 15 - 30 fps on most maps... i lag bad only on SF HOSPITAL mostly also... go on maps that are not server parties 16+ ppl... you are gona get lag when you play on a server that has more than 16 ppls... face it... my key to gettin my 41 H and .88 Frag Rate (goin up now) only been playin since Feb 2004 is playin on smaller servers and turnin the res down of the game... may not look as nice... but my comp can handle it... hope some of this helped man

You can play quite well with 12 fps, I frequently do, and my fr is 2.94, and I am not one who worries about it. I could easily do better if I didn't tend to stand out in the open. Play more maps like Bridge SE, my fr is almost 11 on that map.
y go with pentel???i mean maybe you could just upgrade to upgrade but....i would go with AMD...everyone knows their better gaming machines, but i guess thats a little offtopic
Running the 2.8 E at 3200, Water cooled, and the 9800 Pro at 417/371 corsair 3500 twin, on an ATI Max 2. Players die now unless they hack. Mark 04 6500-7000 depending how tight I crank it. Sorry to say it's a whole different game. Still the hacks really spoil it for everyone playing legally.

U like to mention your frames now? i'm in the market for a p4, thinkin bout a 3.0E. i get 20-30 an it pisses me off cos i got a celeron 2.6 expecting too much i suppose...
Celeron is´nt a fast , gamer cpu! this cpu have no big L2 cache (most with only 256kb,or 512) how fast he is,with 2 ghz or 3 ghz...Celeron REALLY SUX! fast harddisc´s (min. 7200rpm), fast cpu (+2ghz) , really fast grafic (128mb ddr ram or more) , ram (minimum of 512mb or higher)..> :bows: Ameria´s Army is a highend game (now) and u need a POWERFULL PC to play this with enought framerate and without lags or delay! :nodding: ! FACT ! end & off
