So I'll be getting a new computer sometime during the remainder of December, or very early Janurary. Have got a couple of games that i'd very much like to continue playing when I get my new system, though ponder whether they'll work on a 64-bit system. I am hoping they will.

  • Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War (inc expansions)
  • Rollercoaster Tycoon 3
  • Zoo Tycoon 2
  • Supreme Commander
  • Star Trek: Armada II
  • Warcraft III (inc expansion)
  • Worms 2 (inc expansions)
  • Doom 3 (inc expansion)
  • Command and Conquer (Tiberium Sun, Red Alert 2, Generals, Tiberium Wars, and Red Alert 3)

If me having problems with RA2 in vista 32-bit is any indication. Be mindful of the other older C&C games.

Hmm, well I've not played RA3 yet (because it wont play on this system). Had thought about getting it though, lets just hope there is a patch or something that allows for it to work.

worms 2 will definitely work - running armageddon on mine

and well generally the only game I've had a problem with was quake 3 and that's because it has a 16-bit installer launcher.

Though old westwood games might have a problem with the cd protection system - I know I've had problems with tiberium sun on XP because of it. It just doesn't have the necessary runtimes.

And zoo tycon is also 32 bit already.

DOW - mods only work correctly with UAC off.

Generals upwards - shouldn't be a problem

Running both warcraft 3 as well as starcraft without issues.
