Ok, I just got the VGA HD cables, and hooked them up to my Sony Trinitron Multiscan 400 PS (Its an older monitor, but very very nice, and it's a 19") and I'm noticing when I play the HD Resolutions, it almost looks as if it's designed for a widescreen mointor. It's extremely narrow and tall, and this absolutely drives me out of my mind. Can anyone tell me anything I can do to fix this, or am I best off just taking the cable back and getting an S-Video cable (I have no HDTV but I can use S-Video) And if its of any importance, the resolutions I see under my Display settings on my 360 are the following: 640 x 480 (Default) 848 x 480 1024 x 768 1280 x 720 1280 x 768 1280 x 1024 1360 x 768 When I do the Non-HD resolutions, it looks very choppy around the edges, and I dare say almost looks worse than my 15 year old 27" JVC tv with composite. I would really like some assistance, as I would really like to see my game in HD, or at least without the choppyness. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
You want to use a widecreen resloution like 1280x720 or 848x480. That will fix the issues.
The HD mode was made for widescreen TV's to give a more movie like expirence.
