Maybe the industry's finally realising that releasing 40+ games EACH all in one month saturates the market hugely and just results in companies competing with themselves. It's also possible that people are finally realising that licenced games are crap, given that the main people suffering appear to be EA and Activision.
A similar problem is apparently taking place in the music industry.
Good point, let's release less shite games. Instead, release quality games.
Heh, the music industry is now making money of other things! MPA, anyone?
BLoody MPA bastards, there will be other groups like them, on our gaming asses soon.
Well what do you expect? Most of the games this year have been crap.
Yeah it's time to make the high quality games.Maybe next year that will be the focus.

The last three games I bought have been bugfests. I usually end up waiting until a patch is released and then find out the patch has either cured nothing, or makes the game worse. (RTW for example, OR Stronghold 2) I'm sick of plopping down 50 bucks for a game that isn't finished, buggy, glitchy, laggy, not beta tested, so forth and so on. The market is slitting its own throat.

Amen to that.. developers need to stick with the rule of
Quality over Quantity This should happen now tho with the release of new consoles... games become harder to make and take more time so maybe developers might starting realising where there prioritites are....!
