Star Wars Republic Commando and F.E.A.R.. I can't decide which one I like better. They're both equally great to me.

I'd also add Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight and Mysteries of the Sith to the list, but they aren't exactly pure shooters, so... yeah. =p

As far as pure shooters go i've probably had the most fun with the original Far Cry. Even today with all the new games, DX10 and DX11, ect... Far Cry can still look beautiful at maxed out settings. There are a good number of mods out there for it as well. F.E.A.R is pretty awesome as well.

Call of Duty 1 or 2 are my favorites I think. Maybe the left 4 dead games.

I'd probably agree with Tricorder: Star Wars: Republic Commando was truly great. Played it a lot too. Same goes for the Halo series. In the end, I'd say Halo, I guess.

I'm leaning toward borderlands. Nice mechanics with the crit spots, plus fun to boot. Beyond that I'd probably say the Call of Duty series as well.

Personally I think Goldeneye on the N64 as well as Perfect Dark on the N64, its not all about graphics though (as I'm sure people will only say the latest because they have the best graphics!) I think that gameplay is far more important when playing a FPS. Saying that though I also liked Counter Strike Source.

Yes because clearly things like Counter-Strike, Halo, and Call of Duty and Dark Forces 2 (released same year as Goldeneye, btw) are all new, high-graphics games.

I wasn't refering to you though :) or anyone in this thread. I apologise if I implied that but I only meant those would would say the newest games because they had the best graphics

On the terms of memorial moments, amazing graphics, and how it scared the shit out of me... I'd have to go with Dead Space. Its HUD is so innovative and creative.
