Plebian;4001232who dosen't like rome total war? seriously, who?

A bit to complicated for me; then again, I gave it two minutes of play time.

And Unreal Tournament requires a different type of thinking than Total War, it requires a quick, accurate mind and Good reflexes, a game wishing to simulate intense one-on-one combat, while Total War is more aligned toward a slow, analytical thinker.

Heh, R:TW takes more patience, I would say. Especially if you have a PC like mine, that can barely run it.

psi ops (best game, practically flawless) hitman blood money ^equal to (fun game, just no destructible environment) the suffering (liked the monster ability, but lack of weapons) fear (excellent gfx gameplay, etc, but pretty dark) quake 4 (not bad but extremely idiotic ai.) farcry (not a top notch game but still pretty good, great gfx and ai, horrible weapons and lack of characters but makes up for it with its map editor and "relative" ease of modding.) will prolly get this year/month stalker, (open ended environment, good gfx, and tons of things to do.) timeshift, (powers are the hilight looks great) crysis, (looks easily modable, better sand box, destructible veg, and sweet abilities.) and assassins creed (useable environment and hitmanesque combined with deft realism) and those will be added on my top ten and prolly all i get in my lifetime! lol)

Yeah, it usually takes a while to understand all aspects of the combat system, and a little less time to get the full hang of the campaign mode. It did take me a long time to actually be smart in battles and not charging all of my forces straight at the enemy. On another note, you need mods just to make the Spartans look good. Just saying... They looked like they pulled their battle uniforms together out of their bathrobes and bowls. They didn't even make them historically accurate.
