Silkroad is little more than a never-ending grindfest with no end-game content; in fact, it doesn't even have any early-game content. Well, when you can connect, that is.

"Yo, grind yo' ass to level 10 so you can equip this sword." "OK, I got to level 10 and got the sword. So, got any quests for me?" "Yeah. Grind yo' ass to level 15 so you can equip that sword over there." "Dude... What?"

I have never seen a more buggy piece of software in my life, and Silkroad doesn't even try to compensate for the bugs with quality game content. The entire game consists of beating up monsters just to increase a number, and acting like a retarded little kid with a penchant for excessive swearing.

The terrible tech support could almost be forgiven if the game was still pre-BETA or something, but it's not, it's past all testing stages and not only is the engine still far too unstable for a full release, most of the problems with it are caused by utter neglect on the developer's side of things.

Not only that, but the gameplay itself is mediocre - and that's putting it politely. The combat system is dead basic, consisting of nothing more than the staple framework. Skills have little to no variation, and character classes are about as diverse as the original Diablo's character classes - which is practically nil on diversity. Whereas in the majority of other MMOs, gameplay only starts out on the staple framework and then evolves as you progress through the game, whereas Silkroad Online's gameplay is like bread - you can cover it with butter, jam, or cheese, but it still has the exact same taste to it. Even though Silkroad sticks to the basics all the way through, it even manages to do a bad job of those. Silkroad seriously needs to attend a few MMORPG Theory 101 classes. :o

If there's more than that to Silkroad and it's community, then I sure as hell didn't see it in seven months of playing.

There are far, far better F2P MMOs out there. I suggest finding one which has more content to it than grinding endlessly.

I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.

I played for a night, at the end of which all I'd done was grind on "ghosts", decide to level in a grand total of 2 different attributes, and get killed by other players. Wasn't much fun at all...
