Well, Christmas approaches, and I've been thinking about what to ask for. I wanted to ask you guys, what are some good PC games to request? I preferr more realistic stuff, RTS especially, but there are some exellent FPSs too.

What would you say?

Well you should ! Half Life is the mother of all "ur right in the game" fps .

I recommend you HL2 cause its a masterpiece and i guess you want stunning grafix wich it includes . I also recommend Rome total war for a RTS , cause it really rocks nice grafix) and is fresh. For rpg i recommend Wolrd of Warcraft . even if you dont like rpgs youll love it ;) . I also recommend you to bother buying half life 1 (generation pack or w/E) some time .Cause its a part of history you missed ;) .

For WW2 .....well dont know if you got COD , but thats waht i recommend . And its expansion pack , you cant go wrong ther ;)

yeah CoD: finest hour would be just what you want for a realistic shooter. maybe a steam account for DoD if you want to go the cheaper way *shrugs*

Rome: Total War and Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War, definately. I do not recommend however, Call of Duty or Day of Defeat for astute realism; Call of Duty features absolutely atrocious multiplayer, and ignore the fanboys whenever you can. I've been playing Day of Defeat for four years, and I feel it is safe to say that the mod has "sold-out" and features absolute shit multiplayer gaming as well. All of the SMGS between the Axis, British, and Americans are clones (they feature the exact same coding, only different in model appearance); the Bren, B.A.R., and FG-42 feature extremely similar coding; the Mauser Karabiner 98 and Lee-Enfield Mk. No.4 are exactly the same weapon, but the Enfield holds five more rounds, and the hitbox/hit registry is absolutely terrible. If you want total realism in a shooter, the Red Orchestra mod for UT2004 is the way to go.

You cannot miss out HL2. The only reason you can give out to why you won't get it is because you're computer's too weak, which I highly doubt.

I recommend BF1942 with the Forgotten Hope mod, but beware that that mod will take half a day to download.

HL-2 has an extremely terrible ending, and it lacks the support of the two major mods; Counter-Strike and Day of Defeat.

CS:S Source still suffers from bad hit regulation, and DoD Source is months and months away.

If you're a realism nut try Operation Flashpoint or Vietcong. Good games but the online scene is lacking. Though for PC FPSs the offline play is VERY good.
