Seeing as the GOW, God of War, Fable, etc have not actually dominated before, I doubt their second versions will either. MG is a maybe, believe it or not they still have a smaller fan base. SSBM or GTAIV will have to be the two best games of 08. I might change my mind when I see this year's E3, might have something good their, but for now most of those games you mentioned won't do as good this year, I can just tell!!
I'm looking forward to project origin. (and DoW2 if it comes out this year which I doubt)
you also forgot Far Cry 2
Anyone ever hear of Mercenaries 2? It's an open world game by the developers of the Star Wars Battlefront series. You play as some mercenary dude, and you can call in air strikes, air support, artillery strikes, vehicle drops and deliveries, and weapon drops whenever you want. And the new game is going to have online co-op play. I played the original, and it is still pretty fun. It's hard though, so you need to get creative with all of the weapons at your disposal. It requires more strategy than Crackdown on the Psychotic difficulty, if that means anything. If it was more popular, I bet it could definitely be one of the hottest (in sales) titles of this year.
I Think Brawl dominates over them all. Me and friends spend entire classes just talking about it.
Grand Theft Auto IV, no doubt. Judging by the amount of delays we're getting lately, I'd say half of the games listed like Crysis 2 (HAHA!) won't be released until The Nintendo Bad Mother Fucker 2021 Handheld that has a 9900XDETHSECKS video card.
