Ok, which game should i buy. Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles Crysis Please not that if Crysis requires a good soundcard than i won't be able to hear anything in-game... I learned that the hard way with Bioshock, and also note that graphics are not a factor.

IMO to truly get a good experiance out of Crysis you really need to be playing the game on Medium-Highish settings or it just feels like your playing Far Cry again. And I doubt your PC will play it smoothly on Medium. I know you say the graphics aren't a factor but you feel kinda sucky when your playing the supposedley world's greatest looking game on low settings and it looks like it came out in 2004.

Than you've obviously never heard of or have even played the game RE4... When i say graphics are not a factor i mean, comparing both the games gameplay wise, don't add in the graphics as a booster because games with lower grade graphics can be better. And does crysis NEED a soundcard? because, well, my PC has a soundcard but i think it's a standard one that came with it which isn't too good seeing as Bioshock wouldn't play any sound.

I have onboard sound and the Crysis demo has played fine for me.

I've played some Resident Evil games, and just like the movie(s) I thought they sucked

Not sure if Crysis needs a sound card, don't think so since you got plenty sound qualities to choose from. Crysis is a must although looking at your current system spec's you will be disappointed having to play it on medium perhaps low.

I have a 2900 xt, e6700, 4 gig ram, vista 64 ultimate and it still runs poor on medium from time to time, i do run on high settings atm with a lower resolution as the gfx differences are huge.

Actualy i recently found out that my GC was actualy an 8800, instead of a 8600. And i checked the system specs for Crysis, and i have over the minimum and just the right amount for recommended, so i should run it fine.
