There are two possible reasons Star Wars lasers seem to move slower than the speed of light. The first I've read is that they are actually superheated bolts of gas that are giving off the light you see. The second is that ships explode before the laser hits, which is the laser itself hitting. And then the green and red bolt is a byproduct of the laser, not the laser itself.
There is a third explanation. It's a movie.
At any rate I don't see why there is all of this hate for LucasArts, they've produced many fantastic games, and some bad ones too. There are plenty of other worse developers out there.
EA hands down.
Most game came out incomplete out of the box becoz of these people.
Funny thing is most idiot pundits back in the day never gave them much attention coz' everyone thought of them as an exclusive sports game publisher/developer.

I wouldn't call the Battlefield series and Mirror's Edge "incomplete". SEGA gets the reward for sending out incomplete, and unplayable, games.
Mhm.. ya, Sega...
Sent out UaW, need maybe another, like 5 months production.

Fuck realism. It isn't entertaining and it isn't fun.

Agreed.
Its a Sci-Fi or whatever, of course you can always blame the realism but I guarantee that ye would be blaming them if they did put realism into it too.
Gotta have some fun in movies for christ sake.

And don't forget Empire: Total War. Sure, it's amazing after the patch it got(Two months AFTER release), but it still doesn't change the amount of harassment towards SEGA and CA on the Steam forums.

They did make very good games, the problem is that good games like KOTOR can't be pulling in a good income after so many years, they have to be making good games TODAY, I liked TFU, did the general public? No.
I liked TFU. But it had absolutly no replay value.
I never really played any EA games because I was one of those people who thought they just did sports games.
I did like SPORE tho...

It might not have been received as another KotOR, but it wasn't a complete failure. I think "meh" sums up the reviews it got. Not good, not bad.

It really depends on which subsidiary of EA you're talking about. I liked SPORE too, but I'd never touch one of their sports games.
