To the original post topic, isn't it a little early to declare the PS3 a sh!t system?

WickedVestige;3860725For $499 you cannot build a computer system of equal comparison. 360 may be winning in the graphics department now, but give PS3 a year and developers will be able to fully utilize its capabilities and use the full capacity of the Blu-Ray disk. To be honest computer game developers have had how many years to develop and improve graphics on current systems as compared to console developers?

AFAIK, they haven't had a whole helluva lot of time to work on titles using DirectX 10. It's not like they can just sit back and plug in game code from 10 years ago. In fact, due to all the different hardware they have to deal with, I'd venture to guess that pc game coding is actually harder.

Besides, the whole pc vs. console argument is somewhat pointless as they aren't trying to compete. If you want to compare them graphically, given the parts available, the pc is always capable of more graphical horsepower. Owning a pc also makes it easier to plop $500 down on a console, especially after dumping $300 or more on a video card.

I'm gonna get a PS3 at some point, but I'm waiting for GTA IV as my trigger to buy. See no reason to now. Just like with every console's release, I wait a generation for the bugs to get worked out, more titles to be released, and better titles to be released as the programmers learn how to unleash the power of a new console.

btw - For about $700-800, I could build a system that would destroy a PS3 or XBox360, so the money isn't too far apart. Not that it matters. Again, apples and oranges.

if you really want to tear the PS3 and 360 apart spend $7000 on an ultimate machine with a 2 500gb hardrives.

WindowsVistaGeek19;3859681I've never heard that. And I don't believe PS3 graphics suck. The 360 just has better graphics. I think it's the price tag that draws people away from the PS3 the most.

Are you people insane? How can you no see that there is a substantial difference when you hook both the PS3 and XBOX 360 up on an HDTV with HDMI? The PS3 is way better. How can you not see that?

Yeah I don't mean to flip out. I know that we all do see different things. Maybe I just notice the difference because I want to notice a difference, but dude, I SWEAR I see a difference lol. And I know blu-ray is better quality as its posted on Wikipedia, just slightly I think because I don't know what half the specs mean haha.

Anyways I just talked to my buddy and he confirmed that PS3 can already support HDMI 1.3 (which isn't out yet) and will be able to download software for 1440p in the future. Just in case anyone was curious. Of course I'm going to still research, but he's always good with his word.
