Mr. MattErm, good luck trying to find figures on how long people play a single-player game.
Mods will really increase the game's lifespan though. The mod community is really blazing already. I don't think it will fade out that fast.
I like The Warcraft World Much more than Oblivion's World, but I wish Blizzard would either: A. Make Starcraft Ghost B. Make Starcraft 2 C. Make Warcraft 4 As much as I like Warcraft, I'm getting sick of it, and I think Blizzard should take a bit of a break. Oblivion could have been much better, though.
I've played WoW, and I didn't like it. I perfered Warcraft 3, and I just didn't like it. Nick is like me. In two senses. quick Temper and a hatred of WoW.
Urak'kul Atleast in oblivion there are more interesting things like the painting quest...
because painting is a million times more interesting than say, mining, blacksmithing, tailoring, enchanting, engineering, fishing, cooking, first aid, skinning, leatherworking, etc. (not that i support WoW, in fact i'm currently waiting for my subscription to die...speaking of quitting, anyone know any decent replacements for WoW that aren't lineage2, FFXI, CoH/V, EVE, Anarchy, EQ/2?)

Uuuuh... You don't paint in this quest, it just involves a painting wich was stolen.
I prefer single player RPG, MMO just don't appeal to me. I liked Morrowind and I really like Oblivion now, wich I think was an improvement on many, many things. Singleplayer RPG have much better quests and story, wich I think is extremely important in an RPG. I played WoW's beta test version and saw a lot of my friends play, and while it looked fun sometimes it lacks a little "something" that cannot be found in this kind of multiplayer game, samething with UO, wich I played for a short time. Of course, as with anything, it really goes down to opinion, and mine is that singleplayer games like Oblivion are better.

i hear ya. it's mostly the children that cling to MMO's that kill it for us. single player rpg's give you that peace and quiet feeling.
I like WoW but it does start to get really boring. What Urak said about it is 100% true. Oblivion is really cool too.
