I think you have to pay for EQ2 also?
Therefore, WoW > EQ2 ;)

depending on your taste, but you may also want to checkout City of heroes, or City of villains. I play both, and they are the best mmorpg games i have ever played. the do also require a monthly fee, but one subscription is good for both games. At least check them out before you get anything!

Everquest II is just a pretty game.
It's all eye candy and no gameplay.
Though wow is not eye candy at all, It has one of the best gameplay engines I've seen in ages
But I will agree that city of heros/villains is pretty good as well.

http://pc.gamespy.com/articles/572/572447p1.html Least biased comparison I've ever seen. You won't get one of those on a WoW-heavy forum like this one, or an EQ2-heavy forum like some others. Having tried both, I tend to agree with most of the points it raises. A few things have changed in both games since the article was published, but it mostly holds true. Perhaps the biggest question of all, overlooking gameplay, graphics, even price, is... given what recently happened with Star Wars Galaxies, do you really want to subscribe to a Sony Online Entertainment game?
I like you

I don't think so, there's probably more depth and gameplay "features" in EQ2 than there is in WoW.
However, I'm gonna say WoW anyway, because the PvP design is excellent and it does feel purposeful, fighting the rival faction and all. And its just genuine fun. I'm not even playing it anymore, but I recomend that everyone tries it out, even just for 30 days. Incredible game.

I own both, I have played both extensively. In my opinion WoW - ugly, but enjoyable, has a nice relaxing aura about it, because you can play it like a single player game if you aren't in mood for other people, it is very easy game to do stuff solo. Also pvp is fun. Everquest 2 - Beautiful, quality quality gaming if you want fantasy and adventure, all the style, all the looks, most quests are crap though and lacks alot. I have to go with Everquest 2 if you want a fantasy/adventure game World of warcraft if you want PvP and aren't such a hardcore RPGer. They aren't comparable because so different for games that are equally rated. Just appreciate boths qualitys instead of deciding which you prefer. Games of that standard you shouldn't go with because you balance them out. Things of that quality in life you should just go for because you fall in love with it for what it is, not how many ways it is better from the second best.
