Yes, a new version has been released. When I open ASE it prompted me for the new download but placed me in "line" as they are having to many downloads.

I thought this was very weird too. I just loaded the new version. Luckily nothing major changed. There are a few new icons to Yahoo Messanger, and a small advertisement for yahoo. As long as it doesn't get innundated with ads, then i'm ok.

I got the same message and it worried me too, but despite it being updated, there is no such link to yahoo or any of the ads? Concerning yahoo actually purchasing All Seeing Eye, apart from the occasional advert (which i can deal with), I hope those yahoo's at yahoo (sorry..:p) don’t decide to completely remake the program and cause it to wither and die.

Well, I finally was able to install the update. It's not as bad as I thought. but I could deal without the Yahoo chat and messenger button and the Yahoo icon in my task bar. I still dread the future for ASE, so many great apps have fallen to corporate "think tanks" and I'm afraid in the long run this will be another. I better not ever see a flowers.com banner ad when I open ASE. :p

edit - Well damn, I never noticed the "edit toolbar" option before. 2 clicks and the offending Yahoo buttons were gone. :D
