Hey all,

I know the BI 2: Counterstrike was made for Instant Action/Multiplayer, but I really wanted to play it in single-player mode, but I've hit a little snag. Into the first mission (Federation), a random borg sphere comes by my base and my ships total it without a problem, but later, they come back virtually indestructable. 1 Galaxy, 1 Ent-E, 2 Akira, and 1 Defiant-class ships were shooting at the sphere and it still managed to destroy them all, with only slight damage to the shields. In another incident, three borg scouts managed to destroy my starbase. I don't know about you, but that shouldn't happen. Is there something wrong with BI 2: Counterstrike?

No there isn't something "wrong" with the mod. What you have to understand is the mod is meant for multiplayer/instant action. Therefore the Borg represent a much needed threat which has backfired on anyone wanting to play the single player. The only advice I can give you is to edit some of the federation main vessel/station odf files and alter the amount of shield recharge.

Yeah, I kinda did that. Plus, I took your advice and added in some more Federation ships (Eximus, Ares,...) and dropped the computer weapon damage factor a bit. Now the game's fine and I'm getting through single-player. Your ships put a new twist on the game! Look foward to BI 3!!!
