I tried installing the Valdores mod as per these instructions:

...It didnt work. Good news is that the game didnt crash, so I must have done something right. But the game didnt recognise the existence of the Valdores itself. I could not find it in the map editor, I could not build them from starbases... It didnt work.
Is there something these installation instructions left out or missed? or maybe just didnt explain??
And while Im at it, anyone know where I can find a Reman Scimitar?
looks like you forgot to tell which yard to build it from. open ryard2.odf and add the line
buildItemx = "filename"
where x is the next number in the sequence and filename is the name of the ship file without the "odf" extension.

You did of course play with Standard Tech & not Free Tech because Standard Tech is all it seems to be added to!! :D

i had the same problem with the valdores class.... i looked into it a bit more and its the sod (i believe) sod shows white in storm viewer not at all in game texture files seem to be ok...(comparing to other textures, correct dimensions etc) also similar prob with a good looking scimitar but nm :uhm: i tried reducing the textures to 256x256 no change even tried changing grafix card for some reason..... really need the valdores ship, the original warbird is too old :bawl: oh i am an "ok" modder with a lil 3dsmax exp' (very little)

I do believe there was a somewhat sly answer to this...there were two Valdores models, one of which had a sod, and no textures, the other had textures but didn't have a sod...
Any good at mixing and matching?
(BTW, you need to find out which one's they are seen as I've forgotten, go onto a2files, and look at the comments for two valdores that seem to match and you should be good to go :))

rvalpod.odf - is this a pod that needs to be built on a science station or somthing? Is it a pre-requisite of the ship you're trying to build?
As an alternative, try the Romulan Norexan class which can be had over at Armada Fleet Command. While it is setup for Armada 1, the sod and texture files will work okay with Armada II. You'll probably just have to modify the odf files somewhat.
Which is really the real name for that class of ship. lol
