Hallo everyone, maybe this topic is a little outdated, but i was going through most of the former posts and i couldn't find anything. After playing SA2, i downloaded Borg Incursion 2, and i think it is really a great mod. However, i m a bit confused with the huge mass of new vessels, and trying to re-play the single player missions, i couldn't get anywhere. I definitely get ass-kicked by the Borg sending their interceptors. Maybe someone can help, or let me know if there exists something like a manual or tutorial for BI2, or maybe at least brief descriptions of the ships and their intended purpose. As the maker of the mod I'll take a bit of time to explain this. Basically put BI2 was just an armada 2 upgrade. No ship has any specific function or purpose. They're just there to be built. As for the single player there isn't much I can do to help except try enabling all the federation vessels by editing the tech tree files.

True, but everyone keeps talking about the different functions and advantages of the vessels, so i guess i just assumed that there must be more to it than just the rather brief descriptions in the game. Besides, i m very glad to hear that "cheating" is the way to go on the single player missions, i was really close to despair there. Is it possible to "adjust" the missions' settings to make it more playable (besides the one you mentioned, i mean more like the general initial setting of the participating parties)? Or even to create new missions? Anyway, thanks a lot for your quick answer, and i really dig the work you put in your mods. the_captain

Under normal circumstances no, however, heres a quick little edit for you to try. Firstly use wordpad/notepad to open the TECH1.TT and search out this kind of entry:

fconst.odf 1 fbase.odf

simply changing the "1" to a "0" will enable the unit for usage, so just find the non standard Armada 2 entries (those which BI2 installed) and edit those numbers. You'll need to possibly repeat this for other Tech tree files but I don't think its necessary.

Oh and I nearly forgot. The advanced construction vessel is armed and can help with defense if the need arises.

i opened the missions in the mapeditor and removed most of the borg spheres(there already built in the mission) from the map, and it went alot better for me.
