hi all i am trying to make my own ship and i have just recently got it in the game but when i build the ship it comes out as a box!!
Can any one help with this problem??
its not reading the sod file its either missing or the name is wrong or miss spelled
thanks for that tip! the SOD was under a different name!! funny that i thought i had changed all the files to the same name!!
also could some one help me with another ship! ive put the incursion class into the normal instant action game but when i build it, it has its normal weapons but it doesnt have it holo-generator?! does any one know how this can be solved??
its ok man i often do it myself. there is away to make the odf a different name then the sod file and the command is baseName ="" and then just put the sod files name in between the to"" and that way you can have 2 different odf files using one model it makes everything alittle easyer just alittle tip i thought id share

that has made it work! it has also made another error occur! when i first put the incursion in it was given for some reason my defiants special weapons do you know how i can fix this?
dude to tell you the truth i dont know why it did it but send me the odf file and i should be able to get a quick peak at it so send it in here and ill see what i can do with it

There's a simple reason for this. In the Incursion's odf file, fincursion.odf, at the top of the page there is a command line that says: #include "fdestroy.odf". Here's a definition of the #include command line from Westworlds Big Book of Modding:
Makes the game include any parameters that are not already included in the current file, from another file, many weapons use this so that they can have a different name and sprite but have the same damage and re-fire rates etc…
So you see, if you added a weapon to the Defiant, it would show up in the Incursion as well.
To fix this, I would reccomend changing the #include line in 'fincursion.odf' to #include "destroy.odf". That should eliminate the Defiants weapon on the incursion.
