As far as I know you can only edit the missions.
I have modified the first mission. I think the only thing you can't change would be to change the mission objectives.There may be ways of getting around certain problems, I haven't got that far yet.
You can use the map editor and edit the odf files to modify the missions.
What about maps that use triggered events. In theory, I could just use those, right? If you've made a full-conversion mod, please let me know what you did about missions!
The cinematic movie at the begining of each mission uses triggers and there are things on the map that you have to be careful about. I know the first mission inside out, so if you need any info on that one I can help.
I started modding the first mission but came to a halt. I intend to do a lot more soon, hopefully. I have a lot of ideas floating around and I think you can mod a lot of Armada II. There are quite a few things that haven't been in any mods that I believe can be done. Most mods focus on ships and weapons, and few have new missions? There is a lot more that can be done.
