Well, what started out as a single ship, has quickly expanded into several ships, and possibly a station or two. So! I am officially trying my hand at doing a race add-on, for the Federation. Project: Heaven.

So far, I'm still doing the textures for the first three of the ships

The Apostle Class Destroyer, based loosely around the Saber Class, but larger, more powerful, and faster.

Savior1.gif

The Savior Class Cruiser, revolutionary in design, streamline in appearance. This ship packs a powerful punch, but no special weapons.

Engel1.gif

The Engel Class Carrier/Explorer. As you can see, if you have watched the other thread ( available here ), she has been altered, again. Adding yet another set of nacelles, and changing the engineering hull, as well as the neck.

Planned, are a fighter class, specific to the Engel, as well as the Saint Class, the Hope Class, and the Archangel Class. The Saint Class will be another cruiser, the Hope Class will most likely be a Science/Repair Vessel, and the Archangel will be a battlecruiser, a large four nacelle, single saucer affair. I'm hoping to do a new base model, something original, but very Trekkish, as well as a shipyard, though I may combine these into one station, I haven't decided yet. Prehaps the Heaven Complex, or Heaven's Gate. Still developing a storyline, but it so far revolves around the exploration of the Gamma and Delta Quadraunts post Voyager and Dominion War.

I would like to do new special weapons, but those totally blow my mind in concept and design, and I'm still having some texturing problems. And ODFs and Hard Points are still beyond me (Gmax is insane to work with).

I need all the help I can get, and ideas are welcome, so if anyone is willing and able, post and I'll get back to you asap. Thanks!

are these ships still fed? or are they going to become an off shoot of the federation? ither way there good. as for a base and yard combined idea it will be good if you get it right as i have seen one yard wich is the normal yard shape with a star base just bolted to the side of it.

I am happy to help with the mod as it has become. I can make odf's, spr's and tt's. I have also hade a go at making special weapons (the son'a super weapon) but it didn't work well and just looked crapy so i gave up, but i am willing to have another go at some other weapons. i might be able to help with the textures to (I read somwhere you were having problems with your 'ring' on the nacels)

problem with the ring? the problem is u cant texute the inside, right?

thats because ur using an open cylinder, no texturing the inside im sorry to say...

u have 2 options, completely remake the ring, only thinck(this may take a little work getting it right) or duplicating wat u have, and then inverting it

however i bet ur also having the problem with when u look at the ring from certain angles, its invisible, if u do the second option, that will probably still happen, while the first will fix it completely

The ring is difficult to texture regardless of which side I'm working on, and yea, it does go invisible when you view it from certain angles. How would I go about making the ring thicker? I wanted to do that anyway, but couldn't figure it out.

And on the topic of special weapons...COOL! If I can come up with anything, I'll let you know, and I think I made need some textures made.

I still need help doing the SODs and the Hardpoints, those are completely beyond me. Help would be greatly appreciated with this project.

And I think it'll be a federation add-on. Centering it around the needs of the Federation while exploring the Gamma and Delta Quadraunts.

After a week of feasting, and inability to think straight, I did the model for the Heaven Class deep range station and shipyard!

This station will be comparable to DS9 in its defenses...I almost used a DS9 variant that I drew, I still might, not sure yet. This is in no way a finalized model, and...I need help with the textures, NOTHING looks right on any of the ships, they look good...but they just don't 'fit'. And I'm not liking milkshape, is there anyway I can convert the models and texture them in another program?

Voyager009: Can you help me with the rings on the Engel and Savior Classes?

Silver: Sorry, this is taking a lot longer than I thought. And I had an idea on the special weapons, why not have a "sensor sweep" reveal a large portion of the map for a few moments. Or make it a probe launching or something. And definately going to end up making a fighter or shuttle for the Engel, unless you can find an already existing mod to modify (with permission of course).

IF it can be pulled together (big if), hopeful release would be around Christmas. Help is still needed.

WOW that station looks so cool. I would be happy to help do some concepts for the shuttles and fighters. there nuber two at the moment because i have spent about the last 2 weeks surfing the net and getting every ship i can to put together on my game and it is taking forever.
