Looks great snake! Don't fall into the big trap for all novice modellers - They make GREAT looking models but the tri count is SO HIGH that it slows down the entire game... Just a word of caution!
@Ian: Heh, I tried mapping, but I just couldn't make any sense of it. GTK Radiant doesn't like me at all! I really like how Milkshape is working out. :)
@Queeg: Thanks! I know of that trap, I'll have to see my final tri count when I'm finished and lower it as much as possible.
Queeg what are good baselines for folks to aim for? Snake, Post a link to that tutorial and download for milkshake so others can exparament too.
>Queeg what are good baselines for folks to aim for? That I can't tell you. First, it depends upon what you are making, second upon how much it will be drawn in the map/game, third it depends upon your target gaming engine and computer platforms and fourth it depends upon how much complication you already have in the game. And if I knew all of that, I still couldn't tell you. I just don't have the modelling experience.
How is she looking know SOLID :nodding:  reason i ask mate the links were dodgie for me ?prolly my end  .Im keen as mustard to see the finish :deal:
Hmm, not sure where the shots went.
This project is giving me headaches everytime now. :( I'm having lots of trouble finding certain triangles to reverse the vertex order (:banghead: ), and I only got one texture to really work...the rest just show the basic color in the texture.
Shame m8...Was looking great guns .
I'll probably look into the problem a little more. What would be great, is if there was something that you could use to click on a specific triangle in the 3D View Box. :uhm:
well free software is, well, er, um, free. don't look for bells and wistles :D
